It is a busy place, so the employees are doing thier job well, I enjoy the murals and such on the walls. I do not expect any wait service at the table, that is not what this place is about. The crayfish is well made if some times over cooked, that does not mater so much because the seasoning is very good.
How this place only has a 4.4 rating is beyond me. Amazing food , staff and atmosphere. Food is on point , crawfish is on seasoned and cooked just right. There is almost enough food to share if it wasn’t so good ! If you ain’t been you missing out !
This food is simply amazing! And very affordable! Do yourself a favor and get some food from The Real Mudbugs! I tried the shrimp boiled and fried and the gumbo and the as blown away! I’m a Florida boy so I know real seafood! And the owner Becky made me feel like I was right at home! Treated me like family even gave me a hug before I left!
Great first experience! Delicious crawfish. 3lbs of crawfish, pound of potatoes, corn, and sausage for 19!!! I ordered all 3 flavors mixed together. It was a little salty, but still good size and flavorful. Texas needs to take note of these prices!
Mane I'm from Memphis and we come to Mobile just to get some great seafood. When I say the taste was excellent and the price is reasonable. Me and my fiancee love it there
The atmosphere here is fun and festive a very Cajun New Orleans feel. Fun Cajun music and decor everywhere. My husband and I came in and split the fried shrimp / catfish lunch plate. We both ate till we were full and had fries leftover. The portions are huge! I really want to come back and try some of the steamed baskets because it smelled so good. If you're getting a Something that needs cocktail, tartar or melted butter make sure you order this with your meal as they are .25 each and do not come with the plates. I had to go dig .28 out of the car for my cocktail sauce. They do not have fountain drinks just bottled drinks and some yummy looking icy options. There is also a large selection of fresh fish to choose from to take home and cook yourself. I liked this place! Me and my husband just pretended we are on vacation for the hour we got to have four hour lunch break. I was sad to leave.
I actually didn't get anything from here. But my friend did, and he let me taste it. Omg, it was delicious. I immediately regretted not getting anything. But I will get something next time.
Love the new online pickup! The gang pulled a few live crawfish for my son’s aquarium and it was a super adventure for him! We snag royal reds regularly and this spot is perfect for a carry out dinner for us midtown folks! Easy in and easy out! The crew all know what is best at any moment and they always deliver the best quality seafood in MOB! I love a whole flounder and there is always one on nice for me to pick up on the way home!
